What we collect

Your email address, the shipping addresses you add, the photos you choose to print, and your order history. We also record the IP address and browser your device reported when you signed up. Payments are handled by our payment processor; we never see or store your card number.

Your photos

Photos you upload are stored privately and used only to print your orders. We keep them for the life of your account so you can reorder, and we delete them when you delete them individually. To delete your account, email support@tryframewell.com. We deactivate it right away and permanently erase your photos and personal information within 60 days.

We never use AI to choose, judge, or curate your photos, and we never train AI models on them. Automated processing is limited to preparing your prints, such as cropping to 4x6 and flagging duplicates or low resolution images for you to review.

Who we share with

Only the service providers needed to run Framewell: our payment processor, our print lab (which receives the photos in your orders and the shipping address for each shipment), our secure data and storage provider, our email delivery provider, our product analytics provider (which receives your account details and how you use the app, never your photos or the contents of your orders), and our hosting provider. We never sell your information, and we never share your photos, the contents of your orders, or your activity inside the app for advertising. We do share limited purchase measurement data with advertising platforms, described below.

Advertising cookies

Our public marketing pages use advertising cookies and pixels from Google, Meta, and TikTok. They record page views, views of our pricing, membership, gifts, and offer pages, and the moment you start checkout, so we can measure our ads and show you relevant Framewell ads on other sites and apps. They never receive your name, your email, or any other personal detail, and they run only on the public site. Once you sign in, your activity in the app, your photos, and the contents of your orders are never shared with ad platforms.

If you arrive from an ad, we store the click identifier that platform adds to the link in a cookie for 90 days, so a later purchase can be matched back to the ad you clicked. Landing on one of our offer pages stores that offer in a cookie for 30 days so the discount applies at checkout. Both are our own cookies and cannot be read by scripts running on the page.

You can opt out of personalized ads from each platform: Google ads settings, Meta ad preferences, and TikTok ads and your data.

Measuring our ads

When a membership or gift payment is confirmed, our servers send a record of that purchase to the one advertising platform whose ad you clicked most recently. This is how we learn which ads work. It happens only if you arrived from an ad, and only that one platform receives it.

Every record includes the click identifier from your ad click, the amount paid, and a reference number for the purchase. Google receives nothing beyond that. Meta also receives your email address, first and last name, city, state, ZIP code, and country, each turned into a SHA-256 hash rather than sent in the clear, plus a hashed identifier for your account and the IP address and browser recorded when you signed up. TikTok receives the hashed email, the hashed account identifier, the IP address, and the browser, but no name or address. For a gift purchase we send only the hashed email and name the buyer entered at checkout, never the recipient’s address. Hashing replaces a value with a scrambled fingerprint, so we never hand over your email or your name in readable form, and a platform can only use it to match a record it already holds.

We never send your photos, what you printed, or anything you do inside the app. If a purchase is refunded, we withdraw the conversion from Google, and we mark it as refunded in our own records for Meta and TikTok, which do not offer a way to take one back.

Email

We send account email such as sign-in codes, receipts, and shipping updates. Any marketing email will include an unsubscribe link.
